Air Dry Enamel
| GENERAL INFORMATION |
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES |
APPLICATION |
| AD Enamel is a medium dry short oil alkyd modified solvent-based paint that has excellent film characteristics for interior use. Its ease of application makes it an excellent product for product OEM finishing or as Touch-Up Enamel or for refinishing.
AD Enamel is suitable for steel and aluminum substrates. A chemical pretreatment is required for adhesion (iron phosphate for steel and clear/yellow chromate for aluminum). If a chemical pretreatment is not available, than the use of ECL Wash Primer 2035-534 is necessary.
AD Enamel is available in a wide variety of colors and gloss ranges from flat to full gloss (5 80%). Please consult with your technical representative for unusual colors or finishes. A finish standard will be required to match for Touch-up Enamel.
Application can be with air atomized spray equipment; either conventional air pressurized or HVLP. Use of suction feed is also acceptable. AD Enamel can be use for Touch-up and can be custom packaged in 16 oz. aerosols or ½ oz. touch-up bottles with cap brush. Also AD Enamel can be modified for brushing.
CLEAN UP: Clean up all equipment as soon as possible with a 928 Washing Thinner or Mineral Sprits.
