Tu-Com Epoxy Primer

Purpose: Tu-Com is a plural component epoxy primer specifically designed for use on metal substrates. Tu-Com is an excellent primer for exterior applications offering superior adhesion and corrosion resistance. Tu-Com is an Ideal primer for structural steel, farm and construction equipment and marine equipment. This primer system is recommended as a primer for Urachem and 6.7 Urachem when corrosion protection is required. Substrate should be clean and grease free. Remove all mill scale, rust and oxidation products.

Mix Ratio: (1) One part by volume primer R1953 (yellow) or V9791 (white)

(1) One part by volume Tu-Com catalyst R1807

(1) One part by volume Tu-Com reducer R2500

Mix admixture well

Allow (30) thirty-minute induction before spraying

Admixed pot life 6 hours

Application: Apply admixed primer using air atomized spray equipment (HVLP or conventional) to clean substrate approximately 1.0 - 1.5 mils wet. It is not necessary to achieve complete wet hiding. Total (DFT) dry film thickness to be 0.4 -0.7 mils.

Cure schedule:

Air dry @ room (minimum 62'F) minimum of (60) sixty minutes

or

Force dry (30) minutes @ 150'F - 180'F

Prior to painting ‚

Lightly scuff sand any parts which has been air-dried over 16 hours prior to top coating. Apply topcoat per manufacturer specification.
