APPLICATION
Urachem E65A4 Primer- Sealer is a plural component polyurethane primer sealer for use on metal and plastic substrates. Urachem E65A4 Primer- Sealer can be applied over untreated metal substrates, both ferrous and nonferrous and plastics. This primer/surfacer coating is recommended as a primer over clean metal or plastics for adhesion, to hide minor substrate surface imperfections and as a primer - sealer over fillers and putties. Urachem E65A4 Primer- Sealer will accept all polyurethane topcoats. Urachem E65A4 Primer- Sealer will air dry or force dry for accelerated cure. There is no critical recoat period.


The recommended dry film thickness is 1.0 ‚ 1.5 mils.

Typical Uses:

Suitable applications for Urachem E65A4 Primer- Sealer are for hiding substrate defects in electronic enclosures, metal chassis or weldments. It also can be used on a variety plastics used in the business machine and medical equipment industries prior to top coating. Due to the diverse nature of plastic substrates always test the coating system to be used for adhesion prior to commencing production. Regrind or recycled plastic, plus various fire retardants, flow agents, blowing agents and mold releases will affect adhesion.

1. Recommended Usage:

Metal and plastic substrates requiring a smooth surface for smooth finish topcoats. Use as a primer-sealer over fillers or putties.

2. Applicable Substrates:

Steel and aluminum, clean and chemically pretreated for best results or structural foam or solid injected plastics. ALWAYS TEST FOR ACCEPTABLE ADHESION DUE TO THE DIVERSE NATURE OF PLASTIC SUBSTRATES
